Doja Cat has unveiled her new single entitled “Balut” from her soon-to-be-released album, “Scarlet.”
“Glass houses, I don’t really like to keep my stones there/ Oh, well, I’ll buy another property for four mill,” Doja Cat raps on the track. “The only problem that I havе and I’ll be so real/ I hit the stagе and lose the crystals on my toenails.”
Hot off her impressive VMA performance – a medley of her three released “Scarlet” tracks thus far – Doja has unveiled “Balut”, the album’s closing track. At Tuesday night’s ceremony (September 12), her song “Attention” won the Moonman for Best Art Direction.
“I named the song ‘Balut’ because it signifies a bird that’s being eaten alive. It’s a metaphor for twitter stans and the death of twitter toxicity. The beginning of ‘X’ and the end of ‘tweets’,” the controversial artist explained.
“Scarlet” will be out on September22 via Kemosabe Records/RCA Records and is the follow-up to Doja Cat’s blockbuster 2021 project “Planet Her.”
