Following his traffic-stopping Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony, Dr. Dre has announced that Eminem is set to release a new album later this year.

Dr. Dre made his first late-night TV appearance in 30 years as a guest on Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

During his appearance, the N.W.A icon took the opportunity to reveal that Slim Shady would be returning with a new project in 2024.

At the close of his segment on Kimmel’s Tuesday show, Dre dropped the announcement about Eminem’s forthcoming album.

“Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now: Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” he said.

“And I actually talked to him and he told me it was okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show. So he has an album coming out, I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually gonna hear the entire album for the first time for tomorrow.”

“And he holds his music close to his chest so I haven’t heard everything. I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year.”

Em’s as-yet-untitled 12th studio album will be the follow up to 2020’s “Music To Be Murdered By,” which surprise dropped in January of that year and featured guest features from Ed Sheeran, Juice WRLD, Q-Tip, Anderson .Paak and many more. That album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart to become Eminem’s 10th consecutive album to achieve this feat.
