During a livestream with Adin Ross, Drake revealed that he is working on a new album and the OVO head honcho is extremely excited about it.
Drake took a moment to thank his supporters for streaming his latest effort “$exy $ongs 4 U” with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which dropped back in February.
“Thank you to everybody that’s streaming the album,” the Canadian artist said while donning some $$4U merch. “Every time, every journey. Working on a new album, it’s a slap.”
The upcoming project will be the rapper’s ninth solo album. His most recent solo album dropped in 2023 entitled “For All The Dogs.”
Released in February, “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” was a huge success, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and becoming one of the most streamed musical projects of the year thus far.
Elsewhere in the livestream, Drizzle said that “Nothing Was The Same” and “Honestly, Nevermind” were the two bodies of work he was most proud of.
Drake was also asked whether he’d ever step into the ring for a celebrity boxing match, but quickly answered “no” with a dismissive look on his face.
