Days after J. Cole removed his track â7 Minute Drillâ â loaded with shots at Kendrick Lamar â from streaming services, Drakeâs response to Lamar on âLike Thatâ has seemingly leaked online.
The song, titled âPush Ups (Drop and Give Me 50),â was first leaked on Saturday (April 13). The leak initially sparked fans to debate on whether it may have been AI-generated before it was somewhat confirmed as authentic later in the day.
âPush Ups (Drop and Give Me 50)â hears the Toronto rapper firing back at not only Lamar but a handful of other rappers as well as Top Dawg Entertainment.
âI could never be nobody number one fan/ Your first number one, I had to put it in your hand,â Drizzle opens in response to a Future “We Don’t Trust You” lyric (âYou a n***a Number One fan, dogâ). A few bars later Drake pivots to Lamar, questioning âHow the f*ck you big steppinâ with a size seven menâs on?â
âMaroon 5 need a verse, you better make it witty/ Then we need a verse for the Swifties/ Top say drop, you better drop and give âem fifty,â he also spits, picking up momentum.
âPipsqueak, pipe down/ You ainât in no Big Three, SZA got you wiped down/ Travis got you wiped down, Savage got you wiped down/ Like your label, boy, you in the scope right now/ And you gonâ feel the aftermath of what I write down/ Iâm at the top of the mountain, so you tight now/ Just to have this talk with yoâ ass, I had to hike down/ Big difference between Mike then and Mike now.â
Drake then moves on to Metro Boomin, âMetro, shut your h*e ass up and make some drums, n***aâ as well as The Weeknd, âCash blowinâ Abel bread, out here trickinâ (Out here trickinâ) / Sh*t we do for b*tches he doinâ for n***as.â
The Canadian superstar closes out with some more thoughts on Coleâs recent move of reprieve.
âAnd that f*ckinâ song yâall got did not start the beef with us/ This sh*t been brewinâ in a pot, now Iâm heatinâ up/ I donât care what Cole think, that Dot sh*t was weak as f*ck/ Champagne trippinâ, he is not f*ckinâ easinâ up/ N***a calling Top to see if Top wanna peace it up.â
