Despite his legal troubles, RIAA gold certified Brooklyn Drill pioneer 22Gz hasn’t lost his grip on the game.

The Eastcoast rapper and Sniper Gang affiliate continues his year of ‘The Blixky’ with the release of “Why Would I Lack? (ft. SPMB Bills).” It’s a hard-hitting drill anthem filled with aggressive energy. The single is accompanied by a music video, directed by J. Sitez. The new single is produced by Yozoura (Rowdy Rebel, B Lovee, Kay Flock, Bouba Savage). “Why Would I Lack?” also comes on the heels of the release of “Sniper Gang Freestyle Pt.2.”

On June, 22Gz – born Jeffery Alexander – was arrested for felony attempted murder at John F. Kennedy International Airport as he came to New York from Atlanta to perform at Hot 97’s 2022 Summer Jam. The arrest reportedly stems from a March 6 shooting.
