Eminem‘s ex-wife, Kim Mathers-Scott, is facing legal issues after being charged with driving while intoxicated.

On February 17, TMZ reported that Kim is in trouble with the law following an incident where she crashed her vehicle into another car and her garage while children were present.

She faces two misdemeanor charges: operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failing to stop or identify herself after causing property damage.

The report states the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Monday, February 16. Kim had reportedly taken her son and his friends shopping. During the drive, she allegedly collided with a parked car but continued driving. When attempting to pull into her driveway, she mistakenly hit the garage door.

A neighbor who witnessed the events contacted the authorities. Upon their arrival, Kim was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. According to her attorney, she was not arrested, nor does she have any active warrants connected to this incident.

This isn’t Kim’s first run-in with DUI charges. In 2017, she crashed her SUV into a ditch during what was reported as a suicide attempt while under the influence. The following year, she accepted a plea of no contest, resulting in one year of probation and $900 in fines.

Kim is the mother of Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade. The former couple was originally married between 1999 and 2001, remarried in 2006, but divorced again within months.
