Currently electrifying stages across North America, Liverpool-based rapper EsDeeKid has unveiled his new single, “Omens”.
The enigmatic artist, who once sparked rumors of being Timothée Chalamet in disguise, is in the midst of his first headline tour across the U.S. and Canada.
“Omens” marks another chapter in the journey of the artist with deep Scouse roots, who has quickly ascended from the U.K.’s underground rap circuit to achieve global recognition.
Highlighted as one of 2026’s artists to watch by Billboard U.K., he first made waves with his debut album “Rebel”, released in June 2025. The record reached #23 on the Billboard 200 and climbed to #8 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. Two standout tracks, “Phantom” and “4 Raws”, made an impact on the Billboard Hot 100 at #67 and #28, respectively.
The release of “Omens” is accompanied by a visually striking video directed by Archie Erskine, known for his work with JustBanco and Aitch. The track was produced by Cppo, Toom, and Wasa, seamlessly blending their talents to deliver a fresh sound.
Amid growing fame, EsDeeKid remains shrouded in mystery, with fans endlessly speculating about his true identity. Social media buzz previously suggested that actor Timothée Chalamet could be behind the mask due to an alleged resemblance in facial features.
However, the theory was definitively laid to rest last December when Chalamet featured on a remix of “4 Raws” and appeared prominently in its video alongside the masked rapper.
