Fabolous shared his perspective on the driving force behind most rap rivalries, claiming that issues involving women underlie the majority of conflicts in the hip-hop world.
During a guest appearance on “Way Up With Angela Yee” alongside the “Let’s Rap About It” podcast crew, the “Make Me Better” rapper weighed in on ongoing tensions within the genre.
At approximately the 31-minute mark of the segment, Fabolous revealed what he described as the “real tea,” asserting that “95 percent of the time” rap beefs are “about bitches.”
“It’s mostly [about] women more than money,” Fab continued, “‘Cause everybody’s getting money in their own way in their own lane.”
Co-host Jim Jones of “Let’s Rap About It” chimed in, suggesting that tensions often arise when one rapper wins over a woman others couldn’t.
“They might be mad at you for getting a bitch that they know they could never get. But now you got the bitch and then they just mad at you,” Jim said.
“Very tender situations out here. Tenderism,” Fab joked.
After Yee mentioned she had never heard of a rapper feuding with Fabolous over a woman, he responded by saying he’s “not tender.”
“We’re in a time [where] women are choosing, and they have freedom to do what they want. So I’m not beefing with people over a woman,” he continued.
Fabolous mentioned that if there happens to be a conflict with another rapper concerning a woman, it’s something that can be resolved through a conversation. However, he’s not interested in engaging in diss tracks or taking shots at others through his music.
