French Montana confronts Fat Joe regarding unpaid publishing royalties for “All The Way Up”.

The atmosphere turned a bit charged during a recent episode of the “Joe & Jada Podcast” when French Montana stepped up to address lingering financial matters.

French and Max B were in the midst of promoting their latest collaborative project, “Coke Wave 3.5”, when they joined Fat Joe and Jadakiss on the popular podcast. A conversation that began jovially soon took an intriguing turn toward business, as French raised concerns about unresolved royalties from their massive 2016 hit, “All The Way Up.”

French shared that he feels he didn’t receive what he was rightfully owed in publishing for the track, a declaration that visibly startled Fat Joe.

What followed was an animated back-and-forth between the two as they attempted to recall how the percentages were allocated during the song’s release.

French maintained his cut was far less than expected, while Fat Joe argued that French indeed received a share — albeit smaller than what French remembers.

The dialogue remained lighthearted yet firm, with humor masking some tension as both stood their ground. French joked that he had zero publishing on the hit, explaining he trusted Joe to handle things fairly.

“I had zero publishing on that song,” French Montana laughed. “I said ‘yo crack I know you not running business like that. Told my lawyer I said ‘my brother got me I don’t have to worry about it.”

Joe countered by saying he gave French 10 percent, which French refuted with another laugh, claiming it was only 5 percent.

The debate eventually evolved into a brief attempt at solving math in real time as they tried to pin down whether French’s cut was indeed 5 percent, 10 percent, or potentially some other amount.

Meanwhile, Max B and Jadakiss observed the banter as amused spectators, enjoying the unexpected financial lesson unfolding on their podcast stage.
