Future is reportedly involved in a paternity legal dispute filed by his ex-partner, Layla Sanad, who claims the rapper is the father of her nine-year-old son.

As per TMZ, Sanad initiated the suit in a Florida court to formally establish paternity while pursuing child support from Future, whose real name is Nayvadius Cash. It is noted that the artist legally changed his name from Nayvadius Wilburn in 2022.

Sanad asserts that she was previously in a romantic relationship with Future and that their son, identified in court documents by the initials K.W., was born in 2017.

She alleges that Future has already acknowledged being the child’s father and is now looking for the court’s confirmation. Additionally, she is seeking ongoing financial support as well as two years of retroactive payments.

In response, Future has reportedly filed his own motion, requesting the Florida case be dismissed on grounds that Arizona would be a more appropriate jurisdiction.

He claims that both Sanad and her son reside in Arizona and has already initiated legal proceedings there. As of now, the court has not issued a ruling on his request.

Reports indicate that in the Arizona filings, Future has admitted to fathering a son named Kash Wilburn — aligning with K.W. in Sanad’s lawsuit. He also noted that he has been voluntarily providing $3,500 per month in child support to Sanad.
