Future’s new album, “The Real Me”, has officially become his 12th number one album, as he gathers new RIAA certifications during a particularly successful week.
Billboard has refreshed their 200 albums chart, and Future‘s latest release debuted at the top spot with 131,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week, as reported by Luminate.
Out of these 131,000 units, 118,000 came from streaming, totaling 120.3 million streams across the album’s entire tracklist. The remaining 13,000 units came from pure album sales, including an 11-track and full 22-track digital release, a 13-track vinyl in four variants, and a 21-track CD in two editions.
With this accomplishment, the Atlanta star now has his 12th album to reach number one on the charts, positioning him as the rap artist with the third-most chart-toppers and the overall artist with the fifth-most number ones.
Only The Beatles with 19, Taylor Swift with 15, Drake with 15 (whose ICEMAN is still among the Billboard 200’s top ten), and Jay-Z with 14 have surpassed him.
This feat places Future in an exceptionally exclusive group of artists with prominent commercial success.
