GloRilla dropped off a strong new track titled “Internet Trolls,” alongside a high-energy music video directed by Troy Roscoe. Per Spotify, production on the latest from GloRilla was handled by Hitkidd, whose previous credits include the Grammy-nominated “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”
The visual opens with the Memphis-bred raptress counting stacks of money in a surveillance-controlled room, flaunting an enormous, iced-out chain and larger-than-life rings reading “GLO” across both hands. Later, a number of hooded figures appear hunched over a large number of screens displaying hate comments on GloRilla’s social media accounts, before the rapper reaches out from inside their screen and abducts the track’s namesake web trolls. In a comical finale, GloRilla goes head-to-head along with her haters, knocking each of them out one after the other and tying them up with yellow “Caution” tape in an abandoned warehouse.
“Watch out for them internet trolls/They be tryna satisfy them internet goals,” GloRilla raps. “You just got locked up ’cause the internet told/’Fake it ’til you make it,’ that’s the internet code.”
