Hitkidd is on a winning streak in the music industry, having recently produced the lead single “Highjack” on A$AP Rocky’s latest album, and co-produced the Memphis Zoo album alongside the legendary Juicy J. The hit producer also delivered fire production on Rich The Kid’s new track featuring BIA.
Now, Hitkidd is back with another hit, teaming up with Co Cash and TripStar for the new video “If I Were President.” This clip, shot against the iconic backdrop of Washington D.C., not only highlights his dynamic directorial skills but also underscores his signature hard-hitting production.
The track, laced with the powerful lyricism of CoCash and TripStar, delves into the shifting landscape of politics. Hitkidd, always forward-thinking, knows that the political outlook is bound to change, and through “If I Were President,” he and his collaborators aim to connect with listeners who crave authenticity in Hip-Hop, spotlighting those who use their platforms to address real-world issues.
Hitkidd is known for his ability to push musical boundaries, and this track is no different. The beat, created three years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic, was a collaborative effort that started with Co Cash and later evolved with the addition of TripStar.
I made the beat three years ago during COVID. On New Year’s Eve, me and Co started working together on the song. At first, it was just me and Co. TripStar had been on another song of mine the year before. Later in the studio, I added him to this track as well to give it a new element. -Hitkidd
