Ice Spice announced that she finished recording her debut studio album entitled “Y2K,” which is slated to drop later this year.
The buzzing Bronx rapper shared an Instagram post with the caption, “I finished recording Y2K, the album.”
She also shared two images where she is seen rocking her signature ginger ringlets, wearing pink platform heels and a jean skirt with a red lollipop as an accessory.
“Y2K” will serve as a follow-up to her debut EP “Like..?,” which housed six songs and a lone feature from Lil Tjay. Released in 2023, the project also contained smash hits like “In Ha Mood,” “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and “Princess Diana,” all of which are either RIAA-certified gold or platinum.
Ice Spice, real name Isis Naija Gaston, scored four top 10 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023 alone, and she’ll look to add to that number this year with her debut album, which she isn’t ready to put a release date on just yet.
She earned four Grammy nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards, including one for “Best New Artist”, “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for her “Karma Collaboration with Taylor Swift” and “Best Rap Song” and “Best Song Written for Visual Media” for “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj.
