Ice Spice has shared her struggles with depression, revealing that it significantly impacted her weight in 2024.

Addressing speculation on social media that she used Ozempic, the Bronx artist responded directly to a critic.

The exchange occurred after a user on X mocked a video of Ice Spice working out, saying: “This weak a– video just shows it was definitely from Ozempic.”

“Na it was depression im better now tho,” Ice replied.

Fans, affectionately known as “The Spice Cabinet,” quickly rallied to support the 25-year-old rapper after her candid comment. One supporter wrote, “I love you sister & i’m glad you’re doing better.”

Earlier in August 2024, during her “Y2K! World Tour”, the “Deli” rapper joined an X Spaces chat to address similar claims about using Ozempic. She explained that her weight loss stemmed from maintaining a healthy diet and consistent workouts.

For context, Ozempic is an FDA-approved medication for managing Type 2 diabetes but is also known for its off-label use in weight loss.

“I actually came on here to talk about that real quick. I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic,” she said. “That’s one thing I wish. Oh my God! Like, what even is Ozempic? What the f— is that? Genuinely, what is that?”

Ice Spice continued, “You lazy-a– bi—es never heard of a gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting at home all f—ing day, it’d be easier to stay big.”
