J. Cole recently connected with fans through his personal blog, “The Algorithm”, revealing which track from “The Fall-Off” currently stands as his favorite.
The rapper from North Carolina took the opportunity to reflect on the past month, sharing insights about his journey since releasing his seventh album.
He also recounted highlights from his unique “Trunk Sale Tour,” during which he traveled the country in an old Honda Civic. Along the way, he sold the album directly out of his car trunk and spent time listening to it alongside fans.
āThis post is just me checking in and saying thank you for all the love on the album,ā he wrote before mentioning that heās getting mentally prepared to hit “The Fall-Off Tour”.
āFrom the YouTube videos I see, to the Tik-Tok videos, IG and Twitter posts that make it to me, itās the best feeling when I see people that feel the same way I do about the music. For real. Itās officially a month after The Fall-Off dropped, and Iām still over here playing it every day religiously as if Iām not the one thatās rapping on it.ā
He continued by discussing how he noticed fans on social media and YouTube sharing their favorite songs from the album. He also shared his own choice, while hinting that there are a few tracks worthy of being the top pick on any day.
āSome of my favorite comments to see are the ones that say something like, āMan, every time I play this album I end up with a new favorite,’ā he said.
āItās the highest compliment, and in my mind I be like āI FEEL you!ā I felt the same way listening to the album before it even dropped, and I still feel like that right now. I usually drop a project and be so tired from working on it that I donāt want to hear it once itās out. But with this one itās different. Currently my favorite song is āThe Let Outā⦠āPoor Thangā and āI Love Her Againā are creeping back up there too.ā
Cole concluded the post by sharing his intention to step beyond his comfort zone by participating in interviews and committing to more consistent updates on his blog.
