Kehlani makes her highly-anticipated return with new single, “After Hours.”
The dance-worthy anthem, which samples Cordel “Scatta” Burrell’s iconic “Coolie Dance Rhythm,” was produced by Khris Riddick and Alex Goldblatt.
“We don’t gotta take it slow/ I’ma hit the gas if you’re ready to go/ I wanna speed it, breathe into your clothes/ The way you touch my neck got me ready to fold,” she sings.
“After Hours” notably marks Kehlani’s first solo release since their 2022 album “Blue Water Road,” a project that saw her collaborate with industry heavyweights including Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Syd, Blxst, Thundercat, and AmbrĂ©.
Late last year, the Oakland artist began teasing new music and even hinted that her next project would be a sequel to her debut LP “SweetSexySavage.” It now seems that the single, dubbed “After Hours,” is the first cut of her fourth album
