Ken Carson earns his first #1 album in his career as “More Chaos” opens atop this week’s Billboard 200.
The Playboi Carti-affiliated rapper knocks his mentor from the peak of the Billboard 200, following his 2023 effort “A Great Chaos” (#11) and 2022’s “X” (#115).
His latest project opens with 59,500 equivalent album units in its first week. This total includes 48,500 in streaming equivalent units (67.3 million on-demand streams of the songs), 11,000 in album sales and the remaining in track equivalent album units.
In addition to becoming his first chart-topper, “More Chaos” also marks Carson’s best week yet as well as his first top 10 entry.
Described by Carson as a blend of Rap, Punk, and Electronic influences, the album serves as a sonic evolution of his signature style. Much of it was recorded during his 80-date tour, with finishing touches laid down during intense sessions in Los Angeles.
