Kevin Gates’ music catalog sale has become the latest flashpoint in his bitter split from estranged wife Dreka Gates, after a court order reportedly directed more than $1 million from the proceeds to her.

The decision adds a major financial twist to a divorce that has spilled into public view, with accusations, disputed claims, and two children caught in the middle of a deeply personal battle.

Dreka Gates Set to Receive More Than $1 Million

According to reports citing court documents, Dreka is set to receive $929,341.50 in child and spousal support, plus an additional $150,000 directly from the catalog-sale proceeds. That brings her reported allocation to approximately $1.08 million.

The order also outlines payments for professional expenses, including $125,000 for Dreka’s attorneys, $100,000 for her accountant, and $103,000 for mediation services.

Kevin, meanwhile, is scheduled to receive $538,798 upfront, followed by monthly payments of $225,000. The proceeds are reportedly required to pass through a managed account, with restrictions on who can access it.

The documents do not publicly identify the catalog’s buyer or disclose the total sale price. Still, the order highlights how valuable a music catalog can become when an artist’s personal and financial life enters a legal dispute.

Kevin and Dreka’s Divorce Battle Grows More Contentious

The ruling follows months of tension between the former couple, whose relationship and business partnership stretched across years. Dreka filed for divorce in 2025, and the proceedings have included competing public claims about finances and family responsibilities.

Kevin has accused Dreka and members of her family of taking money from him during their relationship. Her attorney has strongly rejected those allegations, calling them false. The accusations remain disputed and should not be treated as established facts.

The latest financial order does not, by itself, mean every issue in the divorce has been resolved.

Beyond the headline-grabbing dollar amount, the case raises a broader question about the intersection of love, business, and ownership in the music industry. When a relationship helps build an artist’s career, separating personal finances from years of shared work can become intensely complicated.

For Kevin Gates and Dreka, the catalog money is more than a payout. It is another major development in a breakup whose full resolution remains uncertain.
