Years after the tragic loss of Dallas rapper Mo3, justice has been served as the singer’s family finds closure.
A jury recently found Kewon White guilty of capital murder, resulting in a life sentence. Prosecutors had also implicated Devin Brown and Yella Beezy, known offstage as Markies Conway, in orchestrating and assisting with the crime.
Following the conviction, White, who performs under the alias Banzzo Bling, reached out to his audience on Instagram to express his thoughts.
“This is not the end of the road, so don’t give up,” he wrote. “I didn’t give up, and you shouldn’t either. Sometimes all we need is a little hope and faith to keep going. Keep believing, keep pushing.”
During the verdict and sentencing, Mo3’s mother expressed forgiveness and love towards Kewon White, telling him that those he allegedly collaborated with never truly cared for him.
She pointed out that he sought affection from the wrong crowd, making it a profoundly emotional moment in court. It’s uncertain if White will share more thoughts on social media, given his current legal situation.
When Is Yella Beezy’s Trial?
Regarding Yella Beezy’s trial, according to Dallas County Clerk records, his proceedings for Mo3’s murder are set to commence on September 14. Devin Brown will also stand trial for capital murder related to this case.
Prosecutors claim that Brown was involved in orchestrating the murder-for-hire and was in the vehicle when Kewon White fired the shot at the Dallas rapper. Testimonies during White’s trial suggested that Brown had personal motives for the murder, as Mo3 was allegedly dating the mother of his child at the time.
In Yella Beezy’s case, he is accused of planning Mo3’s murder and hiring White to execute it, though he has pleaded not guilty to the charges of capital murder.
