Kid Cudi has officially announced his next studio album entitled “Free.”
The anticipated project has a confirmed release date coming at the end of August.
The “Man On The Moon” creator took to social media to reveal the album’s title, cover, and inspiration, pairing it with a powerful photo of himself literally leaping into the clouds.
“I wanted something that really expressed freedom, so the concept of me leaping into the clouds made so much sense,” Kid Cudi wrote in the post’s caption. “Inspired by The Truman Show. I can’t WAIT for u guys to hear this album and really see the album art brought to life. You’re in for a beautiful ride. Promise.”

Furthermore, the album’s second single, “Grave,” along with its accompanying music video, is set to be released this Friday (July 11). “Grave” follows up the lead single “Neverland,” which Cudi unveiled back in May.
“Free” follows his 2022 album Entergalactic, which doubled as a Netflix animated special and was praised for its emotional storytelling, slick production, and romantic themes.
