Killer Mike took home multiple Grammy Awards for his acclaimed 2023 release, “Michael.”
In a recent interview with Apple Music, the Atlanta rapper revealed that the LP was the first drop of a three-part album series he has planned.
“This album is the first of three,” the 48-year-old said. “It’s gonna be three Michaels.”
The veteran wordsmith says he plans to delve beneath the surface on the next installment and is currently brainstorming ideas.
“The first album we got to kinda take the nine-year-old to where I’ve grown into as an adult, but I wanna cut deeper. There’s deeper levels to go.”
According to Mike, he’s already begun putting the pieces together with his production team.
“We’re already plotting out what the next one’s gonna be,” he said. “Me and Cuz Lightyear were in the studio with Mike WiLL the next night. And we’re working.”
Killer Mike, born Michael Render, swept all three categories he was nominated in: “Best Rap Song,” “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Album” for his self-titled 2023 studio album “Michael.”
