Kodak Black has revealed his conditions following Young Thug’s proposal for a contract with YSL Records.
His demands include a substantial sum of money and the opportunity to create a collaborative album with Mariah The Scientist, who is Young Thug’s girlfriend.
On July 9, Kodak went live to engage with his fans. During the session, a fan mentioned Young Thug’s earlier offer from a few weeks ago.
“Yeah, Thug talking about whatever I think I want if I do a deal. Oh yeah?” Kodak said on the stream. “Well sh*t. I need a collab album with Mariah The Scientist, I need a hundred millions…”
He stopped there, with his current demands being just the album and the substantial signing fee.
In late June, after Kodak announced that he was a free agent and no longer with Capitol Records, Thug expressed his interest in signing him to YSL by making a public offer on X.
“If he would do a deal with me, I would give that boy whateva he think he want #NoCizzy,” Thug posted.
In 2022, Kodak signed with Capitol Records in a deal reportedly worth several million dollars, after spending eight years with Atlantic Records. He fulfilled his six-album contract with Atlantic with the release of “Pistolz & Pearlz” in 2023.
Later that same year, he made his Capitol debut with “When I Was Dead”. He continued to release several more projects under Capitol before officially parting ways after his final release, “Kodak the Blessing”, in early June.
