Westcoast rapper Kurupt is currently hospitalized, dealing with serious health issues.

Reports from TMZ indicate that the revered Tha Dogg Pound rapper was admitted several weeks ago due to serious complications. While details about his condition remain unclear, it is noted that he is showing signs of recovery and is optimistic about regaining full health.

Daz Dillinger brought attention to Kurupt’s situation on January 12, encouraging fans via Instagram to express their support and remind him how loved he is. Despite the public call for support, Daz refrained from revealing specific details about Kurupt’s ailment.

In response to Daz’s message, notable figures including Royce Da 5’9″, Treach, and Goodie Mob’s Khujo Goodie took to social media to share their well wishes and support for Kurupt.

This is not the first instance of health challenges for the veteran rapper. Back in 2019, the 53-year-old music artist was hospitalized after experiencing an alcohol relapse while filming the reality TV show Marriage Boot Camp.

During that incident, TMZ reported that he consumed excessive amounts of alcohol while partying with fellow cast members, leading to a medical emergency.

Kurupt, born Ricardo Emmanuel Brown, originally hails from Philadelphia but moved to Los Angeles during his teenage years.

He launched his successful music career in the early 1990s, eventually joining forces with rapper Daz Dillinger to form the hip-hop duo Tha Dogg Pound under Death Row Records, now owned by Snoop Dogg.
