Controversial artist Lil Nas X took to the stage at the Governors Ball music festival in New Yorkâs Flushing Meadows Corona Park on Sunday (June 11), and told concertgoers that he didnât want to be there.
The provocative hitmaker walked off the stage âfor about 5 to 10 minutesâ at the showâs beginning due to technical difficulties.
After explaining the tech issues, âhe said he had a bad day and just didnât want to do it,â the source revealed.
Lil Nas X then performed âvery begrudgingly,â and âit was a total downer.â
The insider added that âother sources who attended the concert told us Lil Nas Xâs dancers practically âhad to carry the showâ for the âOld Town Roadâ singer because of ongoing issues with his mic. Weâre told he was looking forward to performing at the fest, but grew frustrated on Sunday after experiencing the technical snafus.â
A separate source mentioned, âThere were a lot of logistics that were off, and it all accumulated onstage when the mic wasnât working. There were sound and technical difficulties for many artists⊠it affected Lil Nas because heâs a perfectionist, and this was a first for him.â
Reps for the rapper and the festival did not comment.
