Lil Tjay has publicly dismissed rumors suggesting he had any connection to the shooting incident involving streamer Konvy during a Kick livestream in The Bronx. He also refuted claims that he reacted to the incident by posting emojis online.
The rapper became entangled in streamer-related controversies due to past tensions with figures like Adin Ross and Cuffem. With these individuals being close to Konvy, who was targeted in the shooting, speculation quickly spiraled, leading to baseless accusations about Tjay’s involvement.
In response, Lil Tjay took to social media to clear the air. As highlighted by Akademiks TV on Twitter, he shared multiple Instagram Stories addressing the situation, which were still live at the time of this writing.
“Never posted that fake news,” Tjay clarified.
Reports had hinted that he allegedly reacted to the event on both his primary and secondary Instagram accounts, sharing laughing emojis along with a taunting caption encouraging retaliation. However, Tjay outright denied these allegations.
From Dubai, the artist further elaborated on the matter in another Instagram Story. He not only denied making those now-debunked posts but also distanced himself entirely from the incident.
“I had nothing to do with what happened last night in the Bronx,” he wrote. “Blogs are circulating old posts, taken out of context, and presenting them as recent, which is false. My prayers are with everyone affected. Please stop spreading misinformation.”
Additionally, Tjay shared a video on his Instagram Threads account to reinforce his stance against the false claims.
“More cap, smh,” Tjay captioned the video. “I never posted that emoji reacting to the streamer,” he expressed in the video. “That’s fake news. I’m not really sure why everybody’s trying to post things to blackball me. I have not been engaging in things for a little minute now. And I’m currently eating my dinner…”
Through these statements, Lil Tjay made it clear that the rumors had no truth to them, urging people to stop perpetuating false narratives about him and his involvement.
