Lil Uzi Vert embraces his runway aspirations in the vibrant “What You Saying” music video, transforming the visual into an extravagant fashion show.
Earlier this week, the Philadelphia artist unveiled “What You Saying,” marking his fourth single in just a month. The track skillfully fuses Jersey Club energy with a sample from French artist Indila’s “Love Story,” creating a unique blend that feels tailor-made for Lil Uzi Vert’s distinct soundscape.
With inspiration drawn from his favorite designers who shaped his sense of style, the 30-year-old conceptualizes a stunning fashion event to introduce his designer brand, UZI, on the runway. The spectacle features supermodel Adriana Lima as the brand’s leading star, alongside cameos by legendary designer Marc Jacobs, agent Kyle Hagler, stylist Law Roach, and artist Lola Leon.
“Remember, this is just the beginning. You are all invited to my fashion show,” Uzi captioned an announcement for the single, which was originally in French. “Thank you for your attention and patience.”
The track explores themes of love and connection disrupted by language barriers, perfectly complementing the delicate French sample within the production.
Sporting his eye-catching half-pink, half-black dreadlocks, Lil Uzi Vert steps out to a rousing ovation at the end of the high-fashion event. He graciously bows before the audience, receiving a bouquet of flowers amidst an amusing backdrop where fans hold signs reading “UZI Fashion Scum.”
