This past weekend, Lil Uzi Vert took the stage at Rolling Loud California, delivering an anticipated performance. Wearing colored contacts, a red jacket and pants set and donning a spiky punk hairstyle, the Philly rapper performed fan favorites, alongside a number of unreleased cuts.

One track that got the crowd talking saw Uzi shout out his associate, JT of City Girls, while simultaneously poking fun at online conspiracy theories about him.

“I make a City Girl believe in Satan.” he rapped in a single bar of a never-before-heard song.

Later in the show, Uzi addressed the delay of the long-awaited “Pink Tape” LP.

The rapper started teasing the tape over a year and a half ago, releasing snippets from the project throughout 2022. It was said to be released in December, which ultimately came and went. And in January, Uzi posted an Instagram Story saying that they’d be releasing the album in February.

At Rolling Loud, however, Uzi shared that they’re still working on putting together the album.

“I do make y’all wait a long time for music and I’m so sorry. I thought that shit was cool before but that shit is lame,” he admitted. “I’m putting the final touches on Pink Tape and I promise — I made a lot of promises in my life, but this time I promise.”

While the rapper didn’t give a definitive release date, it’s likely that the unreleased music they performed during their set comes from the forthcoming “Pink Tape”.
