It seems Lil Wayne is single for more than just a fleeting moment.

On Sunday (July 5), he took to Instagram to post a video where he clarified his current relationship status. He explained that he is no longer involved with Madi Cannon, putting to rest any rumors that they were engaged.

“I would like to clear something up: No, I’m not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going with an amazing person, but obviously due to the validity of the temperature of today’s world and culture, I considered [that] I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person,” he said.

“So we decided to part. Sucks.”

Wayne, aged 43, seemingly started a relationship with Cannon earlier this year, and there were rumors of their engagement in May with the 23-year-old influencer.

Just last week, Cannon shared a selfie with Wayne on her Instagram Story. In addition, she appeared in a picture with both Weezy and Skip Bayless, which the sports commentator shared on X on June 29.
