Lil Yachty is riding high following the release of his anticipated new album “Let’s Start Here,” out immediately through Quality Control Music and Motown Records.

The Georgia rapper has also unveilled a bizarre new music video, directed by Crowns & Owls, for the track “sAy sOMETHINg” in which he tells a woman he loves her just two weeks after first meeting. The clip opens with the rapper on a date with a woman in a diner sharing a plate of fries before Yachty utters the words, “I love you.”

On the song, Yachty croons, reeling over an unrequited love. “We can live the dream life, wild / Got me feeling like a teen again / It’s feeling like it’s teenage love / If you feel the same way, then say something,” he sings in the song’s chorus.

The song is track #10 on Lil Yachty’s new album, which was released the same day as the video. The album serves as the Atlanta native’s first studio project since 2020’s “Lil Boat 3” and follows his 2021 mixtape “Michigan Boat Boy”. “Let’s Start Here” is a psychedelic album with elements of rap, with production and contributions from indie luminaries such as Alex G, Chairlift’s Patrick Wimberley, Magdalena Bay, Jam City, Mac DeMarco, and Nick Hakim.
