According to Cam’ron, Mase and Diddy have finally come to an agreement that will see Puff give Mase his publishing rights back.
“My n*gga murder had to sit this one out. He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday. Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8,” Cam captioned a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday (August 30).
In his post, Killa Cam also plugged his new mixtape entitled “The Lost Files,” which he announced is dropping on September 8 — albeit without any Mase features.

Mase and Diddy have been at odds for years, with the former Bad Boy artist claiming Puff owns his publishing and refuses to give it back. Mase was signed to Bad Boy Records in the last ‘90s and early ‘00s, when he gave his publishing rights to Diddy for $20,000.
In 2020, he hopped on social media to put Diddy on blast for the bad business move.
“Every year y’all be killing us man. The amount of time it takes to make these records, to pour your heart into it, and you just want an even playing field. Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Bad Boy label,” Mase said at the time.
Mase said he tried to buy back his publishing rights, but was told he could only do so if he was able to match “what the EUROPEAN GUY OFFER him.”
“You bought it for about $20k & I offered you $2m in cash. This is not black excellence at all. When our race is enslaving us. If it’s about us owning, it can’t be about us owning each other.”
Now, it appears they’ve finally settled their monetary differences.
