The rapper previously described her upcoming LP as being about a “rebirth,” taking inspiration from snakes because of how they shed their skin to evolve. Megan’s last LP, “Traumazine,” arrived in 2022.
In November 2023, Megan marked her return to wax with “Cobra,” a song that addressed what the emcee had been dealing with mentally.
“Breakin’ down and I had the whole world watchin’, but the worst part is, really, who watched me? Every night, I cried, I almost died, and nobody close tried to stop it, long as everybody gettin’ paid, right?” she rapped.
The cover artwork for “Megan” features the “Cocky AF” performer hanging upside down from a chrysalis, transforming into a monarch butterfly.
