NBA YoungBoy will walk out of prison in July 2025 thanks to a plea deal related to a federal gun charge in Utah in 2024.
The Baton Rouge rapper has faced no shortage of legal problems over the years, including aggravated assault with a firearm in Louisiana and posing as a doctor in order to obtain prescription painkillers.
In April 2024, YoungBoy was arrested at his Utah home on a whopping 63 charges related to a prescription drug fraud scheme. At that time, he had already been on house arrest for two years awaiting trial for a federal gun charge. In August, he was hit with yet another gun charge, which stemmed from his arrest earlier that year.
The 24-year-old Louisiana entertainer, who has memorable features on songs by Migos, Juice Wrld and Tyler, the Creator, pleaded guilty to 10 counts in connection to the alleged fraud case and pleaded no contest to the remaining 36 charges.
Now, it looks like YoungBoy could be coming home soon. According to reports, he will be released from prison on July 27, 2025.
Fans are excited for his comeback despite his legal issues.
