YoungBoy Never Broke Again‘s documentary “American YoungBoy” has made a stunning debut at the box office, earning over $1.1 million in its first week despite minimal promotion prior to its release.

Box Office Mojo confirmed on April 26, that “American YoungBoy” secured the tenth spot in weekly box office rankings. The documentary opened on April 22 across 583 theaters nationwide, drawing significant attention from fans and casual viewers alike.

Directed by Nico Ballesteros, the film offers an in-depth look at the Louisiana rapper’s groundbreaking MASA Tour, which raked in nearly $70 million in 2025 and solidified its place as one of the most successful solo rap tours of all time.

The documentary combines footage from the historic tour with intimate glimpses into YoungBoy’s family life and behind-the-scenes moments during his off-stage hours.

The project was produced by NBA YoungBoy himself along with Patrick Hughes, Kyle Claiborne, and Antoine Banks.

Reports indicate that the passion of YB’s fans turned screenings into lively, concert-like experiences in some theaters, leading to disruptive behavior that resulted in some attendees being asked to leave. In one notable instance, law enforcement was reportedly summoned to address the situation.
