On August 14, we were introduced to the first project released posthumously by Nipsey Hussle’s estate, a collaboration with Bino Rideaux called “Prolific”.
This album features names like James Fauntleroy, BH, and even Cardi B. However, some of Nipsey’s frequent collaborators, such as YG, who worked with him on “F.D.T,” were not part of this release.
It seems the session that led to their politically-charged track was actually a piece of a larger project the two artists were developing together. Blacc Sam revealed to Bootleg Kev that there is additional unreleased material from Nipsey Hussle that is being preserved for future releases. Blacc Sam also indicated that a joint project with YG could be on the horizon.
“I think that ‘F**k Donald Trump’ came from those sessions, from one of those sessions and they just ended up leaking it,” Blacc Sam explained. “I know there probably are some verses, a lot of the team and a lot of [their] guys sent over everything when we did a blitz to see what was out.”
A Nipsey Hussle Documentary Is In Development
Alongside YG’s project, Blacc Sam announced they are carefully planning the release of new music to accompany the upcoming documentary.
“For us, the soundtrack to the documentary is where dope records that are close to being complete or don’t fully have a project or haven’t landed on a project and are kind of timestamped to where you could tell Hussle was younger here, Hussle older here,” he explained.
“In my eyes, they’re going to go for the soundtrack for the doc because we can, alright, this is episode one is when he was earlier. This record was recorded there,” he continued.
