As the eldest child of Ye and Kim Kardashian, North West was born under the glare of a spotlight intense enough to illuminate an entire city.

Now, she’s turning that spotlight up even higher as she steps into the music world, channeling her father’s iconic career trajectory as a rapper and producer.

At just 12 years old, North has released her first EP, “N0rth4evr”, which arrived on Friday (May 1). The project features six tracks, all self-produced, showcasing her undeniable talent and unique artistic vision.

The EP is a striking fusion of punk rock and fiery rage rap. The influence of Playboi Carti’s “Whole Lotta Red” is evident throughout, as is North’s admiration for Molly Santana. The opening track, “H0w Sh0uld ! F33l,” makes a bold statement by sampling Meg & Dia’s 2006 hit “Monster.”

On “W0ah,” North delves into the reality of growing up in the public eye. She openly reflects on her early fame, confidently stating how she’s been “signing autographs since elementary” and acknowledging her destined path to stardom: “I was born a star / I never had a choice.”
