Offset shared that Drake never charged Migos for his features on tracks.
Migos had their breakout moment when Drake joined the remix of their 2015 hit “Versace.” According to Offset, the Canadian superstar maintained a close bond with the group, offering his support in various ways.
In an appearance on the Full Send Podcast on the heels of dropping his “KIARI” album, Offset explained: “That’s my dog, I f—k with Drake. Always showed love. Always pulled up to the video shoots, all that s–t. Don’t make a hassle, don’t be charging nothing.”don’t be charging nothing.”
Offset elaborated that Drake took extra steps to ensure the business aspects of their collaborations were handled fairly.
“Even when we was little n—as, a lot of artists his size would bully the record like, ‘I’ma do it, but I want all of the publishing.’ He didn’t do none of that s—t,” Offset said. “Equal splits.”
Besides “Versace”, they’ve also joined forces on tracks such as “Walk It, Talk It” and “Having Our Way.” Offset and Drake were also both featured on Metro Boomin’s “No Complaints” hit.
Meanwhile, the former Migos member hinted at the possibility of a collaborative album with Quavo as they work on rebuilding their relationship.
