After a frightening encounter at a Florida casino, Offset has broken his silence, expressing gratitude and detailing his plans for the future following his release from the hospital.
On Friday (April 10), Offset took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with his fans after being injured in a shooting incident on April 6 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. In his letter, the Atlanta rapper assured followers that he is recovering well and determined to make positive changes in his life.
“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love! I’m good….but I’m planning to be better!” he wrote.
“I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music… realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses,” he continued.
“Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win,” he concluded.
According to law enforcement records, the incident unfolded following an altercation between Offset and Bronx rapper Lil Tjay at the casino. Allegedly, the clash escalated when Tjay initiated a fight, prompting one of his associates to fire a weapon at Offset.
Reports indicate that Tjay may have directed his group to confront Offset’s crew, with police also claiming Tjay recorded parts of the altercation on his phone.
After the incident, Lil Tjay was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Dawn Florio, Tjay’s attorney, has since issued a statement denying her client’s involvement in the shooting.
