Offset‘s mother, Latabia Woodward, has expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of well wishes and support following her son’s recent shooting.
In a video shared online, Latabia acknowledged her usual reluctance to discuss personal issues in the often toxic environment of the internet. However, she explained that the situation compelled her to speak out.
She begins, “I don’t typically address things about my son on social media. I learned a long time ago that facts rarely survive the internet, and I refuse to feed that machine… But today, I have to speak.”
“Six days ago, my son was shot. Four days later, he was released from the hospital. Last night, he was on a stage doing what he loves to do. He is a miracle walking,” Latabia added. “That is God’s grace, that is God’s mercy.”

She wrapped up by expressing her heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their love and support, both for her and in general. To all who reached out, prayed, called, sent texts, or left messages, she extended her thanks.
She acknowledged that if she hadn’t responded to someone directly, it wasn’t intentional. The kindness shown to her meant the world. She emphasized their love for Kiari and their appreciation for everyone.
