Playboi Carti has dropped his new song “All Red” over the weekend.
The track serves as the first single from his highly anticipated upcoming studio album, “I Am Music,” which is expected to drop before October 2025. The LP was first teased about two years ago under the title “Narcissist,” but was then marketed as “Music” in April 2022 then “I Am Music” in December 2023.
The latest release clocks in at two-and-a-half minutes and features production work from F1LTHY, Ojivolta, Lucian, Lukrative and Twisco.
“All Red” has already stirred controversy due to its lyrics, with the chorus reading, “Upside-down cross tat’ on my neck, shut ’em up, uh, uh.” Fans and critics alike have reacted strongly, with many calling the lyrics “satanic” or “anti-Christ.”
What’s more? Playboi Carti was honored at Billboard‘s 2024 R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event in NYC last week with the artist of the year award.
