Playboi Carti’s highly-anticipated new album, “Music,” spends a second week at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The Atlanta rapper’s latest studio effort earns 131,000 equivalent album units in its second week, including 124,000 in streaming equivalent album units (171.02 million on-demand official streams of the songs), 7,000 in album sales and the remaining in a negligible sum.
Carti previously logged one week in the lead with his previous release, “Whole Lotta Red,” in January 2021.
Sadly, Playboi Carti has more important things on his mind these days, such as the tragic and shocking loss of a massive inspiration, Young Scooter.
The rapper – signed to fellow lyricists Future and Waka Flocka Flame – died on his 39th birthday in his home town of Atlanta after injuring his leg while running from police and jumping fences, according to authorities.
