Just before taking the stage for his Coachella 2025 headlining debut, Post Malone revealed that a new album is in the works.
Ahead of the gig, the 29-year-old superstar touched on anxieties he felt before playing at the festival, looking back to his 2018 debut at the Sahara tent.
“I wasn’t as nervous back then,” he told Billboard. “I’m just old now. Everything hurts.”
Furthermore, Posty told the publication how welcomed he felt by the Nashville community, saying that when he gets together with friends and other artists over there, they “just sit and fucking talk and make songs. And so I’m pretty excited for the new record already.”
Malone also noted how he has “made probably 35 songs; it’s just a matter of which one’s rock, and which one’s sock.”
While he’s working on the scratch vocals, they’ve already got lots of songs in the bag.
“I sit there and listen to these songs, and I usually hate listening to my music, but listening to the band play, I get so excited,” he said.
The news of his new album comes less than a year after the release of “F-1 Trillion,” his wildly successful, country-leaning album that topped the Billboard 200, which saw him collaborate with the likes of Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, and Luke Combs.
Having released an album every year since 2022’s “Twelve Carat Toothache,” he teased: “Hopefully, we’ll have some music releasing very, very soon.”
