The sudden passing of Posta Boy at the age of 44 shocked the Hip-Hop community, prompting an outpouring of tributes for the Harlem rapper known for his resilience in battling cancer.
Known for hits like “Jurassic Harlem,” which cleverly sampled John Williams’ iconic Jurassic Park score, Posta Boy rose to prominence as the first-ever winner of BET’s 106 & Park Freestyle Friday.
His remarkable seven-week undefeated streak earned him a spot in the show’s Hall of Fame, solidifying his legacy in the world of battle rap.
Following news of his passing, several artists took to social media to express their condolences and honor his memory. Among them was Mickey Factz, who shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram for the late rapper.

In a previous interview with All Hip Hop, Posta Boy opened up about his battle with cancer. He first became aware of the diagnosis after noticing swelling in his testicular area. Emergency surgery led to the removal of one testicle, followed by five grueling months of chemotherapy to address the cancer, which had spread to his kidneys.
Eventually, a 12-hour surgery was performed to remove the mass, found tangled around his liver and other vital organs. During this life-threatening procedure, Posta Boy shared that he nearly lost his life halfway through.
At this time, the official cause of his death remains unknown.
