Quando Rondo and his entourage were reportedly shot at following one of the rapper’s concerts in Georgia on Sunday morning (May 2).
According to TMZ, the popular Atlanta rapper and his crew were in a parking lot at a convenience store in Blackshear around 3:20 am after a concert when the shooters opened fire from across the street. Authorities say Quando and the group were just making a quick stop at the store before the shooting.
Hours earlier on Saturday night (May 1), Quando performed at a nightclub, which is located just 10 minutes away from where the shooting took place.
It has been reported that Rondo was not hurt in the incident since, according to police, he was not at the scene. But he was reportedly seen in the parking lot just before shots rang out.
However, sources told TMZ that one of Quando Rondo’s crew members was shot in the hand and treated at a local hospital to receive medical treatment.
The gunmens’ motives are unknown, but police sources say it could be retaliation for another shooting that claimed the life of Chicago rapper King Von in November of 2020. One of Rondo’s crew members, Lil Tumm, was arrested and charged with Von’s killing but is currently out on bond.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has reportedly opened a probe into the incident.
