Quavo and Lenny Kravitz rock out together in the “Fly” music video after teasing their ultimate link up for over a week.
After collaborating with Lana Del Rey on “Tough,” the Migos rapper teams up with the popular rocker for the track inspired by “Fly Away,” Kravitz’s 1998 hit single.
Directed by Jake Nava, the two artists perform the track all-out. It is presented in black-and-white with bright flashes amplifying the energy of the song throughout the video.
“I’m feelin’ the wave / I wanna fly / Let’s get geeked, let’s get drunk, let’s get high / Don’t go on a plane / I’m sittin’ the jet way / You already know which way we goin’ that way / Told her I wanna get you paid / Oh, you like that? Okay, bounce right back, go rage,” raps Quavo. Lenny Kravitz adds vocals throughout the hook and background of the track.
Both tracks, “Fly” and “Tough,” signal a new creative era for Quavo, involving standout artists in genres outside of Hip-Hop and R&B.
“The next project I’m going to be working on is the Rocket’s. You know what I’m saying? Takeoff,” Quavo detailed. “I’m gathering a whole bunch of information, gathering a lot of producers, gathering a lot of my friends, a lot of the artists. And we’re going to make this album one of the craziest albums of all time.”
