7 years ago today, Nipsey Hussle was at the pinnacle of his career when his life was tragically cut short. He succumbed to gunshot wounds to the head and torso, having been struck at least 10 times.
Hussle first gained recognition in the mid-2000s through a string of impactful mixtapes, such as “Bullets Ain’t Got No Name” and “Crenshaw.” After years of building anticipation, he debuted his first and only studio album, “Victory Lap,” in 2018, which earned him a Grammy nomination for “Best Rap Album”.
Today, the Los Angeles rapper’s legacy continues to resonate within his community and the broader music industry. In 2022, he was honored with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, further solidifying his enduring impact.
May he rest in peace and his legacy continue to be remembered.
