11 years ago today, the music industry mourned over the passing of New York rapper Sean Price at the age of 43.

Price was a distinguished underground rapper from Brownsville, Brooklyn, known for his gritty style, intricate rhyme structures, and sharp, self-deprecating humor.

He first gained recognition in the mid-1990s as Ruck, part of the renowned Hip-Hop duo Heltah Skeltah with his partner Rock, and as an essential member of the Brooklyn collective Boot Camp Clik. Later in his career, he reinvented himself using his birth name, solidifying his status as a cornerstone of East Coast hardcore rap.
