Ralo’s emotional, triumphant, and transformational homecoming is complete with the release of his anxiously awaited new album, “Welcome Home,” out now via 300 Entertainment.
The album represents the culmination of his journey from incarceration to the forefront of the culture once again. He celebrates its arrival by unveiling the music video for the new single “First 48” featuring Key Glock.
“First 48” stands out as classic Ralo. You can hear his hunger as he makes a proclamation, “I got too much shit to lose, I got too much shit to prove.” At the same time, Key Glock rolls into focus with a quotable cameo of his own, mirroring Ralo’s energy.
The video captures the elation of the first two days back home as Ralo and Key Glock shine on-screen together. It’s a full circle moment and a much-deserved victory lap.
Boasting 16 new tracks, “Welcome Home” places him as an example of what turning the page on a new life looks like. Throughout the project, he reflects on his past, makes the most of the present, and moves into the future with his head held high.
The Atlanta rapper doesn’t go it alone though, welcoming an A-list cohort of guests such as Anthony Hamilton, K. Michelle, Yungeen Ace and more to join him. He also shows love to the late Young Dolph by welcoming features from three of his Paper Route Empire artists—not only Key Glock, but also Kenny Muney and Big Moochie Grape.
Ralo commented, “This is my way of venting. This is what helps me with my mental health and my emotions. I don’t really cry out to people, I just go in the booth and rap about that sh*t. The significance of this being my welcome is because this is my first project that I’m dropping since my release”
