Rick Ross and French Montana are set to face each other in an upcoming Verzuz battle.

As prominent figures in the rap scene of the 2010s, they’ve collaborated on several tracks, but this time they will compete as rivals.

Scheduled for May 7, the clash will take place at the Apple Music Studios in Los Angeles and will be streamed live on Apple Music beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Rick Ross previously appeared on the Verzuz stage against 2 Chainz in August 2020, where he narrowly emerged victorious, according to Billboard’s scorecard. This upcoming event will be French Montana’s debut as a headliner in a Verzuz battle.

The two artists have created numerous hits together, and fans are eager to see who will claim tracks like “Stay Schemin,” “Pop That,” and “Marble Floors” during the showdown. They’ve also collaborated on songs such as Rick Ross’s “Nobody” and “Minks in Miami,” released in March.

Former Hot 97 producer Scottie Beam believes Rick Ross has the upper hand, calling it his “easiest win ever.” Tyrese, who recently competed against Tank in a Verzuz battle, also supports Ross, stating his confidence in Ross’s victory despite his admiration for French Montana.

Mark your calendars for the Rick Ross and French Montana Verzuz battle on May 7.
