William told police the man then struck the side of his head with the firearm before leaving. He reported minor swelling and said he did not need medical treatment. He contacted police the following day, explaining that fear had delayed his decision to report the incident.
Investigators reportedly reviewed city surveillance footage but did not capture the alleged confrontation. William later identified the suspect in a photographic lineup.
Don Roberts III was arrested on October 16 and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The allegations remain unproven, and the case must be resolved through the legal process.
